Gap again?!

Inspired by the lovely Eve I went to check out the latest offerings from Gap.I nabbed the last one of the gorgeous jumper she found (I did check first that she didn’t mind me copying but as she’s so used to it by now she always says it’s ok!)

While I was there I tried on a few other tops and have to say that I’m sorely tempted.  Though looking at the photos I’ve just uploaded I do sense a theme…no bloody colour.  But if a code does come along I will probably get one of them.  Just not sure which yet.

Please note I am not doing these justice in any way, shape or form!

Same one in short shortsleevessleeves (it looks darker than the long sleeved…I can’t remember if it was!)

And stripes.  The quality on this one is lovely…the black bit is actually a velvet trim (but hopefully not too bodenesque)

And then it was onto Zara which is rather acrylic heavy right now.  I ignored my normal material snobbery and bought a brand new 100% acrylic coat (watch out static).  It’ll probably shrivel up and die by the end of the winter but it looked awfully luxe on.  Yet again I have managed to do it no justice at all in the photo but when I was trying it on 3 different people came up and asked me where I’d found it so I took this to be a good omen!

And to keep on with the ‘no natural fibres’ theme I also bought this bonkers fur sweatshirt.  It is so soft I shall be stroking myself all day (while trying not to appear too odd).

obviously that’s not me.

I like all the jumpers and love the coat! I’ve ordered the fur jumper from Zara tagged onto an order for my kids which should arrive tomorrow. I have the Diesel fur waistcoat Jasmine has too so it maybe too much but it looks lovely! The jumper with the broad stripe looks a little big on you? I really like it though. Good shopping!

Lovely things – I like it all and you look great in it, very svelte. Looking forward to taking a closer look at Gap this season.

I agree – the broad stripe ones was a slightly weird shape. Have you ordered any harems for the girls? B – is loving hers from the new season!

Gap harems? They’re not on line! I need to get me to a Gap! I had planned to go tomorrow but Little Legs isn’t well.

I got her some of the grey knitted ones and the grey jersey ones. She fell over in the knitted ones on their first wear and they ripped!

that’s rubbish isn’t it! I got Belle all the floral ones. She refuses to wear anything tight (including tights/leggings/trousers) so in winter it’s a nightmare. Harems are our compromise…she loves them because they are ‘loose’ and I love them because they keep her warm (and look rather fab!)

Did you get the navy checked one as well? I could cry, I so want it now and it’s sold out online and they are supposed to be only an online exclusive or are they fibbing?

And it’s hard trying to push away the fabric snobbery isn’t it but honestly the fabric technology is quite something these days. Polyester in the 60′s and 70′s is nothing like what we see in the shops these days.

Sorry to Hijack but your right Sue they are fibbing as i got one in Leeds (Briggate) on Friday. I was pleased to get it but not so at having to pay £44.99 for the privelage of getting it instore! So i now either lump the extra price or take it back and not have one! I’d give them a call if your happy to pay more …

Just wondering if anyone has seen the red and white windowpane sweater? I was about to order the navy but as Sue said, it’s sold out online. Ebay has some brand new navy ones for sale from US or Australia and the price inc p&p is comparable.
I love the first jumper Gina….I was also considering getting this one x

Pip I didn’t see the red one. Do you want me to get you the windowpane if I see it? What size would you want.

I think the first one is my fav too! I hope a code hurries up!

I know you are right. I think I”m o.k as long as it’s not directly next to the skin – blouses in acrylic are a no no!

I’m going to be going back and forth to gap as I want to try and find the top in a smaller size – I’m not convinced the medium is the best size for me (but that was all they had)…do you want me to nab you one if some appear back in stock? If so what size?

Sue – if you tell me what colour and size you need, I will keep an eye out. There is a Gap between the Bolters’ school and nursery, so I go past often.

What wonderful madness and badness between us all. I sneaked in to Leeds this morning (shhh! don’t tell the Grumps) after I’d given them a ring in Leeds Briggate as I was convinced I’d seen them in store. They only had size XS but that didn’t fit bad actually so I’m a little dubious about the size small which another Gap is holding for me (I cover all possibilities) which might just be a little big. I tried the red and white version for sizing and it wasn’t as nice as the XS. I’m also thinking the print is a little large on me and please don’t hit me for this but I have a feeling that the Grumps will want to play noughts and crosses across my chest if I were to get it. I think I need to be a bit bit taller to carry it off. Boooo! But thank you all and if you ever get stuck for anything – let me know!

it’ll be gap windowpanes everywhere! I’m pretty sure I’ve got the wrong size so I’m going to have to keep going back to try and find the small! Very frustrating.

Have you tried their Customer Services? They were really helpful when I called yesterday. I was thinking, the Gap sweatshirt with long and short sleeves looks like the Whistles Joy. Might be worth a try with 25% off (WH25AW13)? Then we can all look the same! :-)

        Which Gap sweatshirt?

And if no one can get hold of the Gap navy windowpane – the Whistles Lucia looks really good. Slightly smaller pattern which might be good for shorties like me. Especially with the Whistles code.
