Sensible footwear seems to be de rigueur on the school run here. The weather is to blame of course. Walking the school run (all a few hundred yards of it and crucially, downhill) is a new thing for me. I’ve already had to wear wellies half a dozen times and with winter looming I decided I too needed a sensible shoe. And here they are;
Ignoring the fact that I usually take a size 3, I went ahead and ordered the smallest available size (4) figuring I’d add sheepskin insoles and thick socks for extra cosiness. For once I was right and I’m thrilled with them, very very comfortable (they feel like flats to me) and they look like they’ll last. Worn below with Cos top (currently instore – fab quality pima cotton for just £17), Primark vest, H&M cords, Brora cashmere socks.

I love them! Really really gorgeous. I’m putting them right on my wishlist.
Ooooh I really like those, stylish and comfy. Which is a hard mix to find I think.
you must surely be the most gorgeous mum on the school run – you look a million bucks, and that’s without even seeing your lovely hair and face!
Gorgeous styling. You are one chic Mummy. Love those boots. Warmth is my middle name.
