We’re a group of women who met on the (shhh) Internet due to two common interests: motherhood & a love of fashion. After meeting up several times (no blokes in macs, phew!) we’ve become close friends but, despite what we have in common – from buying the same items to supporting the same football teams – there’s just as much that separates us: some are tall, some are petite, some are full time mums, some are corporate high fliers. Whatever. We might be worn out, but we’ll always make sure that we love what we wear out.
Despite the fact that we live all over the country and that geography and family/ work commitments prevent us from seeing each other as often as we’d like, we meet up – virtually – virtually every day: to talk clothes, yes (what we love, what we’ve seen that we think one of the others would love, what we’ve bought, what we’re wearing and what we’re planning on wearing) but also to seek and give support on all of the other things that make our lives what they are.
Of course, being fashion-obsessed, we’ve followed loads of other fashion bloggers over time, but the recent proliferation of school gate bloggers got us thinking that maybe the kinds of conversations we were having, almost daily, on Facebook, might appeal to a broader audience, the more so as there are so many of us encompassing so many different shapes, sizes, tastes and budgets. We’ve all been guilty of losing our way at times since becoming mothers (a certain incident, 3 days post-partum, with a brown cord knee-length A-line skirt springs to mind … as does a Boden Fun skirt…) but with each other to offer the occasional “Er, no, I don’t think so..” we’re happy enough with our wardrobes now to feel okay(ish) about sharing.
Anyway, that’s us. We’d love to know what you think, so please leave your comments – positive or not – we can take it!
