Saturday jobs

This morning we ran around doing Saturday “jobs”; tidying, swimming, football practice, dry cleaners and I had my eyelashes redone. The tidying up obviously took place after I took the photo.

Very old denim harems, grey H&M sweatshirt over navy The White Company vest and old metallic gold Nikes. I love a grey top. The grey version of the Gap Sunkissed sweatshirt is is really nice (I have it in grey, neon pink and neon yellow) On the subject of harems, I ordered some New Vanessa Trousers from Hush earlier. I am hopeful.

Tonight we are going for one of my favourite types of Saturday night since having kids; over the road to a neighbour’s for a takeaway. The kids will watch a movie and have popcorn, we will have a meal that none of us have to cook or wash up after and a bottle of wine or two. No spending the day shopping, preparing, marinating, cooking. No bundling my sleeping babies in to snow suits & car seats at the end of the evening.

I’m wearing Zara skinnies, H&M leopard print shirt, black Oasis snake trim wedges.

As you may have noticed I’ve worn my navy White Company poncho an awful lot over the past few weeks as its so far been a very mild Autumn.  And after my hunt for a cream cable snood I got one.  The keen eyed amongst you will notice its not cream but it fitted my other criteria

The snood is from Pure Collection and I had a 25% off discount code of which there always seems to be one around.  With them am wearing aubergine J Brands and an Equipment silk shirt which was via The Outnet last year.

So having returned a load of stuff that I’d panic bought for an occasion last week I had some ‘free’ funds and so realised that I needed another poncho.

You can’t really tell in this photo but its got a slight sparkle which I like.  Am wearing the plum Superdry super skinny cords which I love with Acne Pistols.

Talking of sparkly knitwear having seen Ann in delphine I am rather enamoured of the white version

These heels ain’t fooling anyone!

I was accosted by a 5 year old at the swimming pool changing rooms this afternoon.

‘I saw your sister in the playground today’ she declared, pointing at my 6 year old daughter. Before I had a chance to formulate any super vain thoughts, said daughter retorted (to me), ‘That’s because you’re so short and I’m nearly as tall as you are!’

Yes, so we all had a good laugh and here I am minus my heels – what is the point of them anyway!
